During Development and original plot
Ride to Hell was originally an open world game that was in development from 2006 to 2010 has revealed by Martin Filipp's Linkedln page (a developer who worked on the original Ride To Hell), it was revealed in 2008 by a teaser trailer revealed the release date of the original Ride to Hell of 2009, During this time the character of Jake was named Raymond and had no uncle nor a brother instead a friend named Oswald and Jake 's home town "Dead End" was still in the original game. His story was different, Raymond was imprisoned during the Vietnam War for 7 years and when he was released and returned to USA, he found himself in debt with even less money as before. He visits Oswald who had kept his bike during The Vietnam War and suggests that he joins "The Devil's Hand" a biker gang in Dead End.
This was half of the original plot of Ride to Hell the game was developed by Deep Sliver Vienna and Eutechnyx however Ride to Hell was cancelled when Deep Sliver Vienna closed down and Eutechnyx continued working on Ride to Hell stripping of it's open world revising the graphics and renaming Ride to Hell Retribution.
Ride to Hell: Retribution
In 2013 Ride to Hell Retribution was released and received negative reviews. Jake's character was completely revised changing it to a cliched revenge story.
